KEIKI SWAP MEET
Join us for our Keiki Swap Meet this Spring at the Discovery Center. Earn extra money by selling old toys, trading cards, clothes, comic books, video games or anything else you think other children would like to buy.
KIDS IN THE KITCHEN
Chop, stir, pour and mix! Get your senses cooking, and begin a life-long culinary adventure for your child. Your child will discover the joy of cooking by creating and eating kid-friendly, holiday favorites.
KEIKI COSTUME BALL
Join us for some Halloween fun! Enjoy dinner and an ice cream treat, Trick or Treat throughout the Center, and participate in “spooktacular” games and crafts! Check back for more information.

Come celebrate your child's next birthday at the center! The staff at the Children's Discovery Center looks forward to working with you to make your child's birthday a very special day!
We also have facility and room rentals
Renting our Center is a unique and fun way to celebrate your special occasion. From company Christmas parties to first birthdays, the Discovery Center provides an atmosphere of imagination and discovery.

OUR MISSION & VISION
The Center provides an environment that encourages children to use their senses of touch, sight, hearing, and smell to gain a better understanding of the world around them.
Our goals are to help children develop positive self-concept and an understanding of others in Hawaii’s multicultural community, and to offer them a “window to the world” beyond our island shores.
We want to inspire children to “dream big dreams” and to know that dreams can, indeed, come true!

A Message From
CHAIR, BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Out the "ashes" of an old city incinerator was born a dream . . . literally. To say that the story of the Hawaii Children's Discovery Center is a unique one would be an understatement.
Formerly known as the Hawaii Children's Museum, housed in the Dole Pineapple Cannery in Iwilei, the storefront facility quickly outgrew its audience of families with young children and throngs of schoolchildren who lined up at the door to visit the 5,000 square-foot museum. The museum started and staffed initially by volunteers, needed to find a permanent home.
